Bookkeeper
Job Description
You’ll be responsible for recording all our financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, and posting information to accounting journals and other accounting software. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Properly record financial transactions.
- Make sure accounts receivable/payable are complete.
- Enter data, maintain records and produce financial reports.
- Ensure all books reconcile with bank statements and prepare financial statements.
- Enter in credit card expenses into accounting software.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar position.
- Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems.
- Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
