Grocery Store Lead Associate
Job Description
Work in the absence of the store manager or assistant store manager but still provide great leadership to other associates and successfully manage other store resources like merchandise, monies, and time. Monitor cameras for unusual activities and cash levels, plus authorize and sign for refunds and overrides. Open and close the store according to company procedures.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform simple mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures such as cashier accountability and deposit control.
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
- Good interpersonal skills and successful ability to lead a small group of associates to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to read and follow a "plan-o-gram" and other merchandise presentation guidance for restocking purposes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience or training)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus, but not required
