Job Description

As an experienced Front Desk Agent, you will be on the front lines of our guest services team lead. From prepping for arrivals to wishing guests farewell, you are the face of our hotel.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead a team in performing all check-in and check-out tasks.
  • Oversee and manage online and phone reservations.
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities.
  • Take the lead in responding to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs.
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests.
  • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate.
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or similiar equivalent, or degree candidate for such a degree.
  • Two or more years working in a hotel or similiar hospitality environment.
  • Prior experience working with hotel management software.
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor.
  • Customer service attitude.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years working as a Front Desk Associate in a fast-paced hotel environment.
